Bulldogs fight back for Hawks triumph
Keegan Hirst scored a late brace as Batley Bulldogs staged a second-half comeback in a 28-12 victory over Hunslet Hawks.
Brad Singleton and Waine Pryce crossed over to give the visitors the lead with a try apiece in five first-half minutes as Danny Ansell added the extras.
But George Flanagan replied with a try of his own minutes later with Tom Hemingway on target with a goal as the home side trailed 12-6 at the break.
But Hemingway and Alex Bretherton scored a try each with Hirst's efforts coming in the final five minutes - and Hemingway on target with three of the four conversions - to complete the Bulldogs' comeback.
