Oldham v Oxford preview.
Gilchrist set for Oldham return
Liam Gilchrist could make his return to action in Oldham's Kingstone Press Championship 1 clash with Oxford after missing five weeks with a calf problem.
The Roughyeds prop, 24, will face a fitness test on Thursday. Coach Scott Naylor said: "He's the only doubt. Everyone else is fit and raring to go."
Former Oldham coach Tony Benson will check on Brett Robinson (hamstring), Martin Roden (neck) and Alex Thompson (elbow), but Lucas Onyango (knee) and JJ Baird (back) are both set to miss out.
Benson insisted that beating his former club was not an added motivation. He said: "We're not focused on beating Oldham, we're focused on Oxford winning.
"We were a far better team against South Wales than we were against Gloucestershire All Golds, so we're making progress."
He added: "Oldham have relatively experienced players right across the park. It's probably the first team we've come up against where every player is a rugby league player."
