Gateshead Thunder 30-10 Gloucestershire All Golds
Ollett bags brace in vital win
Aaron Ollett crossed the whitewash twice as Gateshead brushed aside Gloucestershire All Golds 30-10.
Ollett opened the scoring in the 13th minute and Luke Hardcastle added the extras, with his first of three goals on the afternoon, but the away side briefly restored parity 25 minutes later when Pat Smith went over and Tim Bergin converted.
Alex Brown's try on the stroke of half-time gave Gateshead the lead again at the interval, before the floodgates opened in the second half, with Ollett, Hardcastle, Josh Neilson and Benn Hardcastle adding gloss to the scoreline.
Marcus Brooker grabbed a late consolation try for the All Golds in the final minute, but by then the contest was long over.
