London Broncos and Selco to support Macmillan Cancer Support
The London Broncos clash with current table toppers Wigan Warriors on Saturday May 18th (kick-off 3pm) will be in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support.
Macmillan Cancer Support are Selco Builders Warehouse’s official charity, who are the Broncos main sponsor.
The Broncos will donate £1 from every ticket sold directly to Macmillan and fans will be able to donate using a dedicated text number. There will also be bucket collections around the ground on the day of the match.
London Broncos Chief Executive Gus Mackay said: “We’re delighted to support Macmillan with the Wigan Warriors match at The Stoop to help raise awareness for the charity while also donating to the cause.”
Selco Head of Marketing Helen Cooper said: “It’s great to be able to join with the London Broncos to stage an official charity match and the aim is two-fold.”
“We’re hoping that supporters dig deep to support the charity financially but it’s also helping the charity to raise awareness of the great work it carries out and how it can help families affected by cancer.
Selco Builders Warehouse colleagues from across the 18 branches in London will be assisting on the day and Selco hope for a bumper day of fund-raising as they aim to reach their target of generating £100,000 by the end of 2013 for Macmillan.
