Cudjoe avoids ban
Huddersfield's England centre Leroy Cudjoe has been cleared to make his 50th consecutive appearance for the Giants - at Widnes Vikings on Friday - after avoiding suspension.
Cudjoe was charged with a grade-A offence of punching during his side's 24-8 Tetley's Challenge Cup fifth-round tie win over Leeds Rhinos last Saturday but was able to submit an early-guilty plea and avoid a ban.
Cudjoe has not missed a Huddersfield game for two years. Only Leeds duo Ryan Hall and Kevin Sinfield have a longer run and the Giants player is hoping to keep it going for as long as he can.
"I am the type of player who wants to play every week," he said from England's elite training camp in Loughborough.
"I don't think I need a break but our coach is smart and he'll make the right call."
Cudjoe's co-centre Joe Wardle has been handed a two-match ban after submitting an early-guilty plea following his sending-off against the Rhinos.
Wardle was sent off for the first time in his career and charged with a grade-C offence.
