Swinton Lions 26-18 North Wales Crusaders
Sarsfield guides Lions to victory
England international Adrian Morley helped Swinton reach the last eight of the Northern Rail Cup thanks to a 26-18 win over North Wales Crusaders at Leigh Sports Village.
The Warrington captain made his comeback from a three-month lay-off with a ruptured bicep by playing for the Wolves' partner Championship club on a dual registration.
The Crusaders opened the scoring after Dan Birkett crossed after six minutes, but that was all the away side could manage in the opening period as Matt Sarsfield and Kevin Penny scored a try apiece for the Lions and Gareth O'Brien added a goal.
Sarsfield added his second at the start of the second half with additional scores from Josh Barlow and Craig Harvey as O'Brien added the extras.
Jason Dallimore, Birkett with his second and Gary Middlehurst's effort at the death were not enough to overcome the home side.
