Cas swoop for Channing
Castleford Tigers have beaten the Super League signing deadline to acquire the services of London Broncos outside back Michael Channing on loan until the end of the season.
The 21-year-old, who hopes to play for Wales in the World Cup, has made 12 appearances at centre for the Broncos this term.
"I have watched Michael play for a number of months now and I'm really pleased with his addition to the squad," said Castleford coach Daryl Powell.
"He's got fantastic footwork, good pace and he's a strong player who will continue to develop.
"He adds competition to the squad in the outside backs and we'll be looking to potentially tie up a longer-term deal with him."
Guildford-born Channing said: "I was looking at where I was going to learn the most and Cas seemed to tick all the boxes.
"I've heard a lot about Daryl Powell - hopefully I can learn a lot from him.
"I have the World Cup coming up at the end of the year so I want to learn everything that I can and become a better player.
"I'm going to give everything that I can and play my best for Castleford Tigers. I want to be a part of Cas because I know they're going somewhere."
