Wheelchair World Cup holders and hosts England will take on France in the 2013 Wheelchair Rugby League World Cup final at Medway Park, Kent, tomorrow (Saturday July 13).

The two teams met in the opening round of the competition, France prevailing 28-20, and England will be hoping to avenge that defeat to retain the trophy they won in 2008.

England secured their place in the final after a comprehensive 81-10 victory over Australia in the semi-finals while France, who are undefeated so far, booked their final spot with a comfortable 71-30 win over Wales. 

The two nations will meet in the main event on Saturday at 4.00pm while Wales and Australia will contest the third place play-off (1.15pm) and Ireland and Scotland will do battle in the fifth place play-off (11.15am).


French official Richard Frileux and England's Rhett Johnson will take charge of the Wheelchair World Cup final, while Richard Turner, Richard Johnson and Rhett Johnson will officiate on the day's other fixtures.

Fifth-place play-off: Ireland v Scotland, 11.15am


Third-place play-off: Australia v Wales, 1.15pm
