Rochdale Hornets 36-10 South Wales Scorpions
Scorpions stung by ruthless Hornets
Rochdale Hornets ran in five unanswered second-half tries to comfortably beat South Wales Scorpions 36-10, after a close first period.
The Scorpions took an early lead with Shae Lyon-Fraser going over in the second minute, before Rochdale scrum half Danny Yates hit back to restore parity and Paul Crook added the extras.
Sam Powell's try and Matthew Wilcox's conversion looked to have given the Scorpions the lead going into the break, but Yates popped up with his second try of the day to make it 10-10 at the interval.
After the restart it was all one-way traffic as the Hornets took control, scoring five tries from Andy Ainsclough, Dave Llewellyn, Chris Baines, Gareth Langley and Daniel Davies, with Crook slotting three more goals.
