National quarter-final draw made
The draw for the Champion Schools Boys Year 10 and Year 11 National Quarter-Finals has been made.
Held at Red Hall, the RFL’s headquarters in Leeds, the draw was conducted by English Schools Rugby League Chairman David Gent and RFL National Education Manager Ebony Giblin.
Teams from across the country were involved and have made it this far thanks to their success in the local, regional and opening national round so far.
The full draws are:
Great Sankey v St Wilfrids
Ulverston Victoria v Sts Peter and Pauls
Castleford Academy v Hinchley Wood
Pencoed v St Edmund Arrowsmith
Outwood Grange v Dowdales
Wigan St Peters v All Saints High School
Stainburn v South Holderness
Castleford Academy v Howard of Effingham or St Peters Gloucestershire
All ties are scheduled to be played on Friday March 7, with the winners then progressing through to the National Semi-Finals which are set for Thursday March 27 at Oulton Raiders, Leeds.
Castleford Academy are the only side still waiting to find out their opponents as Howard of Effingham take on St Peters Gloucestershire in their delayed round one game on Friday January 17.
