N W Crusaders 16-42 Rochdale Hornets
Crook guides Hornets to victory
Paul Crook crossed for a try and added nine goals as Rochdale Hornets leapfrogged North Wales Crusaders with a 42-16 Kingstone Press Championship victory at the Glyndwr University Racecourse Stadium.
Crook converted his own try to open the scoring for the visitors before Tommy Johnson went over for Crusaders.
Crook's goal stretched the Hornets' lead before tries from Chris Baines and Michael Ratu, both converted by Crook, put Rochdale in the driving seat. Mark Offerdahl crossed on the stroke of half-time with Johnson converting to get the hosts back into the game.
Adam Bowman went over six minutes into the second half with Crook converting to again stretch the Hornets lead but North Wales wouldn't lie down and Karl Ashall's try was converted by Johnson.
However, a second try for Ratu and another for Gareth Langley with another four Crook goals saw Rochdale home.
