Bulls take Kaufusi on loan
Bradford Bulls have signed Huddersfield Giants’ former Australian international Antonio Kaufusi on loan and will give him his debut in Sunday's First Utility Super League match against Warrington Wolves.
The 29-year-old front-rower has played in all but one of the Giants' 11 league and cup matches since joining them from London Broncos in the close season but was not in coach Paul Anderson's squad for their game against Castleford Tigers on Sunday and will spend the next month at the Bulls.
"We are absolutely delighted to have someone of Antonio's ability on board," said Bradford coach Francis Cummins.
"He is an exceptional talent, who packs plenty of power and presence.
"He brings further experience to our team and we are sure he will make a huge impact during his time here.
"Antonio has representative honours, which are not easy to come by, and has spent a huge amount of time playing at top level - both in Super League and the NRL.
"I am sure he will fit straight in and I look forward to seeing what he can do."
Bradford, who borrowed Ireland prop Anthony Mullally from Huddersfield earlier this year, have lost Manase Manuokafoa and Jamal Fakir to injury for the visit of the Wolves.
Kaufusi, who has previously represented Australia, Queensland and the Exiles, signed a two-year deal with the Giants last year following stints with Melbourne Storm, Newcastle Knights, North Queensland Cowboys and London Broncos.
