Oxford RLFC 28-52 London Skolars
Solomana stars as Skolars romp
Denny Solomana scored three tries as London Skolars ran riot in the last 20 minutes to claim a 52-28 Kingstone Press Championship 1 victory over Oxford.
Mike Bishay opened the scoring for the visitors, but Oxford went ahead when Alex Thompson went over and Tommy Connick converted.
Dave Williams put Skolars back in front and this time Courtney Davies was successful with his kick, before James Duckworth went over in the corner.
A superb individual try from Connick and subsequent conversion made it 12-14 but London extended their lead through Solomana's first effort and Davies' 38m penalty which made it 22-12 to Skolars at the break.
Sam Blaney scored another try for Oxford before Bishay added his second try of the afternoon. Sean Morris outpaced the Skolars defence to make it 24-28 after a successful conversion and it was all square when Jack Briggs capitalised on a London knock-on.
But that was to be Oxford's last points as London were rampant in the closing stages, adding tries from Solomana (2), Lamont Bryan and Williams' second.
