Cougars ground Eagles
The biggest shock of the day in the Kingstone Press Championship came at Owlerton Stadium, where Keighley boosted their survival hopes with a 29-16 win over reigning champions Sheffield Eagles.
Quentin Laulu-Togagae gave the Eagles the lead with a first-minute try, but the visitors showed their intentions by scoring 14 points in a seven-minute spell with tries from James Haley and Josh Lynham and three goals from Danny Jones to open up a handsome lead.
James Craven and Sean Hesketh added further tries in the second half as the Cougars ended their three-match losing run to climb up to eighth in the table.
Dane Straugher and Michael Knowles scored the other tries for Sheffield, who are above the Cougars only on points difference after suffering their seventh defeat of the season.
