St Helens coach fined £1,000
St Helens coach Nathan Brown has been fined £1,000 after being found guilty of misconduct for comments about match referee Phil Bentham made following the First Utility Super League fixture against Wigan Warriors on June 27, 2014.
Mr Brown was deemed to be in breach of Operational Rule D1.8 (c) by engaging in conduct which is prejudicial to the interests of the game; Operational Rule D1.10 (i) by criticising the character of a match official or criticising the manner in which a match officials has officiated at a game in which the club has taken part; and the RFL Respect Policy.
Mr Brown has also been issued with a warning as to his future behaviour. £500 of the fine is suspended until the end of the 2015 season.
