Cahill pens new Vikings deal
Widnes' New Zealand-born forward Hep Cahill has signed a two-year contract extension which will keep him at the Vikings until at least the end of 2016.
The 27-year-old former Melbourne back rower, who has made 53 appearances for Widnes since joining them from Crusaders at the beginning of their return to First Utility Super League in 2011, is the club's 12th player to be re-signed for 2015.
Widnes coach Denis Betts said: "Hep has been huge since he's been at the club. His work-rate and his ability have helped us move forward.
"He's been hampered by injury this season but when he has played, he's been exceptional. His work-rate is such that it's hard not to have him in the side week in, week out."
