Relegated First Utility Super League club London Broncos have promoted teenager Alex Walker from the club's Under-19s.

Relegated First Utility Super League club London Broncos have promoted teenager Alex Walker from the club's Under-19s.

Walker, 18, has joined the Broncos' first-team squad on a full-time one-year deal after completing his studies.

"Alex Walker will train with the first team but continue playing for the Under-19s this season," said London coach Joey Grima.

"It's great that these young guys have signed up to the club. I see them all as a big part of my first-team squad moving forward over the next two seasons."

Meanwhile, Broncos' England Knights winger Kieran Dixon is set to make his eagerly-awaited comeback from injury by playing on a dual registration for Hemel Stags in their Kingstone Press Championship One game at Gateshead on Sunday.

The 21-year-old has missed the entire 2014 Super League campaign after tearing medial, cruciate and anterior ligaments in his left knee while playing for the Knights against Samoa at Salford last October.

The Hackney-born Dixon, who played for Hemel before joining the Broncos two years ago, looked set for a bright future after scoring 30 tries in 46 Super League appearances and was earmarked for a move to Salford Red Devils before picking up the injury.

Dixon is out of contract at the end of the current season.
