The RFL & The FA Emergency First Aid Course
The RFL is delighted to announce that it will be running the FA Emergency First Aid course in conjunction with the FA. The course is designed specifically to meet the needs of first aiders who are responsible for participants in sport. The RFL will be rolling out a series of the courses which are ideal for volunteers in community clubs.
The Course Objectives are to: Preserve Life, Limit Effects & Promote Recovery
This 3 hour course will cover:
- Action planning
- Best practice in First Aid
- Controlling an incident
- Checking responsiveness
- Opening the airway
- Checking breathing
- Recovery position
- Breathing for the casualty
- Chest compressions
- Combined heart-lung resuscitation
- Introduction to AED
- Heart conditions
- Head Injuries
On successful completion of this course the candidate will receive a certificate issued by the FA (Football Association) which is valid for 3 years.
If there are sufficient numbers within your club (18 -24) the RFL will arrange a session just for your club. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org to arrange a session. Alternatively you could run a shared course with a neighbouring club.
